The new balance sheet of the medical-hospital plan market in the pandemic prepared by the ANS (National Supplementary Health Agency) points to almost 580 thousand new users in the state of São Paulo, the fastest growing market in the country, between March 2020 and the same month of 2022.
In exclusively dental plans, the state also had the greatest evolution, with the addition of 1.4 million new hires.
Across the country, medical-hospital plans grew by 2.6% compared to March 2021. Dental plans recorded a 7.6% increase this past year.
In total, Brazil has more than 78 million beneficiaries of both types of plans, of which 28.3 million are from São Paulo.
