Panel SA: Banker André Esteves says that Doria had a heroic act when she left the private sector to pursue public life

by

During his visit to BTG on Thursday night (18th) to seek investor support for his candidacy, João Doria heard from banker André Esteves that it was a heroic act to have left the private sector to follow public life in 2016, when the current governor ran for mayor of the capital.

The banker continued with praise for the management of the economy carried out by Doria after the start of the pandemic and valued vaccination.

Accompanied by the former president of the Chamber and now secretary of state projects, Rodrigo Maia, Doria was asked about the feasibility of an alternative candidacy to Lula and Bolsonaro. Maia argued that the construction of the political third way involves São Paulo, due to the concentration of population and because it is the largest electoral college in the country.

To an audience of around 50 people, in addition to the bank’s staff, secretaries Henrique Meirelles and Patrícia Ellen and vice-president Rodrigo Garcia also spoke.
