Analytically, according to the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT), the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in March 2022 amounted to 12.2% compared to 16.8% in March 2021 and the revised downwards of 12.7% in February 2022.
The employees amounted to 4,187,657 people recording an increase of 523,963 people compared to March 2021 (+ 14.3%) and 16,180 people compared to February 2022 (+ 0.4%).
The unemployed amounted to 582,001 people recording a decrease of 156,457 people compared to March 2021 (-21.2%) and a decrease of 25,233 people compared to February 2022 (-4.2%).
People under the age of 75 who are not included in the workforceor “persons outside the workforce”, ie persons who are not working or looking for work, amounted to 3,069,759recording a decrease of 399,928 people compared to March 2021 (-11.5%) and an increase of 6,359 people compared to February 2022 (+ 0.2%).
