by

On her 50th birthday, singer Ivete Sangalo won a creative tribute from her three children and singer-songwriter Gilberto Gil on social media. In animations produced by illustrator Rafaella Tuma, from Ribeirão Preto (SP), they talk about their mother, artist and friend and congratulate them on their birthday.

“You are so wonderful, Mom,” says one of the daughters in the animated video. “I think I ‘want’ to make her a cake”, completes the other daughter.

In the audio, the twins Helena and Marina, 4, sing an excerpt from “When the rain passes”, one of Ivete’s greatest hits. Then the eldest, Marcelo, 12, joins the sisters and the three sing “Happy Birthday” to their mother.

The video with illustrations, posted in the early hours of this Friday (27), was successful among the artists. Juliana Paes, Lucy Alves and Isabel Filardis are among the celebrities who commented on the tribute.

In another animation, Gilberto Gil is the one who talks about his friend, with much praise. “Ivete is a stunning thing. The sight of her, being with her, listening to her”, he says. “She’s one of the greatest artists I’ve ever been around.”

The series of tributes, posted by the singer’s team on her social networks, also has an illustrated video about Ivete’s childhood, when she liked to sing songs by Clara Nunes at the family’s soirees, in Juazeiro (BA).

One of the artist’s uncles nicknamed her “Ivete Marexera” because she sang, wrong, the part of the song “Conto e Areia” about the high tide.

To celebrate her 50th birthday, Ivete will perform this Friday in Juazeiro, her hometown, broadcast on TV Globo, right after “Pantanal”, and on Multishow from 00:10.

The singer cheered up the fans by rehearsing, this Thursday (26), on the stage set up on the banks of the São Francisco River. She sang, danced, gave interviews, signed autographs and posed for photos. Boninho, director of Globo, was at the rehearsal and congratulated Ivete on her birthday.

The repertoire of “Especial Ivete 50 Anos” includes tracks from her latest album, “Onda Boa com Ivete”, as well as hits that marked her 28-year career.

Actor Érico Brás replaces Marcos Mion, who is with Covid, in the presentation of the special.

To Fantástico (Globo), on Sunday (22), Ivete said that her son, Marcelo, who is a drummer, will participate in the show in Juazeiro.
