“Vibrating and toasting!” This is how the singer and presenter Ivete Sangalo reaches her 50th birthday, celebrated this Friday (27). And at this party it is worth celebrating even the perrengues, says she, who has a 30-year career and guarantees that she has already gone through many frustrations and pressures, including aesthetic ones.

“I am very aware that all the things that happened to me, both positive and the most difficult, were important for my tranquility today at 50”, says the artist in an interview with F5ensuring that time has helped her to have attunement and balance to deal with this type of issue.

And anyone who thinks that Ivete has conquered everything is wrong. The singer, who became nationally known as the lead singer of Banda Eva, in the early 1990s, says she has “a million plans” and intends to keep the frenetic pace of concerts, carnivals and programs, promising to continue “as long as I live”.

And Ivete will celebrate her 50th birthday how? singing! The anniversary show will take place this Friday, in the Bahian city of Juazeiro, where the singer was born — the presentation will be broadcast by Globo, after “Pantanal”. In the repertoire will be from original songs to her career classics.

Looking at your trajectory, would you do something different or do you regret something?

Looking at everything that has happened in my life to date, I think it all contributed to my satisfaction. I have a lot of gratitude! And I am very aware that all the things that happened to me, both positive, which were many, and the most difficult moments, were important for my tranquility today at 50, although I am very restless for the coming years to come.

Is there anything to regret?

I don’t regret anything at all. On the contrary, I even think this trajectory is gigantic. In fact, I didn’t expect, back then, that my career would have the volume it has today, in my life, in my heart.

At 50, do you care more or less about vanity?

All my life I took great care of myself, especially to have healthy habits. We always talk about aesthetic pressure and, when I talk about taking care of myself and my self-esteem, it also involves mental health. One of my biggest concerns was to maintain my quality of life in this regard.

And do you think you were successful in that?

All pressure that comes mistreats, puts mental health and, consequently, physical health at risk. And that involves aesthetics, appearance and everything else. I try not to get carried away by it because time is relentless. I think our head coordinates this body, this time, and it makes us have a balance attunement.

With all that, how do you get to be 50?

I am grateful to have reached the age of 50. Contrary to what many people think, reaching that age is arriving grateful, vibrating, toasting. Look, we’re getting far, what a good thing!

You are an artist who sings, performs, acts. Until what age will the public be able to see you at this rate?

I think the frenetic pace and energy come a lot from my personality. I think people will always see me at a frantic pace. Even if I don’t live that rhythm, my personality will always pass it on. The things I do complete me, make me happy.

Does it cross your mind to ever stay in one area, slow down?

Within my work, the last thing I think about is how long am I going to do this or not do it. I’m doing this, which is the cheapest, which makes me happy. My body, my head and my plans lead me on a path of “I want to live, live happily, live well and do the things I like”. The public will still see me a lot on TV, on stage, anyway, as long as I live.

With almost 30 years of experience, do you still have plans and dreams to fulfill?

Well, I have millions of plans in my head, because the things I accomplished were important to strengthen even more my will to continue. It’s about what we’re going to do, not just exclusively about what we’ve already done. So, butterflies in my stomach are my great partner to live this life with full intensity.

Does this chill still last?

I have butterflies in my stomach from the moment I wake up and say: “Oh, what a good thing! I’m alive, healthy, dying to do so much”. For me, it’s just the beginning.
