The adopted son of actress and dancer Carol Nakamura, 39, has decided to move back in with his birth mother. Since 2017, she and her husband Guilherme Leal had custody of the 12-year-old boy, whom they met at the Jardim Gramacho landfill in Rio de Janeiro.
The couple regretted their son’s decision to leave on social media. Nakamura shared several photos and videos of moments with the child on Instagram stories, such as on his wedding day when he took the rings and photos with family members. “Always treated like a prince,” he wrote in the caption of one of the photos.
Leal shared photos and a long text saying that his dream was to see his adopted son flying away, but he has no control over the wishes of others and unfortunately he decided to return to his biological mother’s house. “As painful as it is for us, we have to understand and respect it. After all, I don’t know how I would react if I were in his shoes.”
He said that it must have been difficult for his son to live in a completely different world after nine years without knowing rules, schedules, commitments, obligations and not knowing how to read and write. “But what we cherish is his happiness, even knowing that he will hardly have a future. However, we pray and ask with great faith in God, so that he finds himself”, said Leal, who was very attached to the boy.
Nakamura commented on her husband’s post saying that she knows how much he cries at night missing his son. “You are the best father I know. It was very beautiful to see your dedication, love and affection, always very careful.”
Other celebrities praised Nakamura and her husband and said they are role models for human beings. “You have a valuable heart, you tried to give the best you know and you have love, you are victorious and you did your best”, wrote actress Solange Couto.
Actor Marcio Kieling commented: “You and Carol are examples of human beings to be followed. You were giants! And not everyone has the courage that you had”. Singer André Marinho said he witnessed the couple’s love for the child. “It was beautiful to see all the effort and dedication. It says a lot about how giant you guys are.”
