Arriving at the age of 43, on June 20, makes presenter and actor Marcos Mion look back and remember the entire trajectory of more than two decades in favor of entertainment. But that doesn’t stop him from “having a 180-degree look at a long road ahead”. Even after getting the long-awaited Globo badge, he says he wants much more.
“There are many things I still want to do and dreams to fulfill. Dubbing Buzz Lightyear was one of them that I never imagined would happen”, he comments about the voice he lends to the character in the film that hits theaters next week. “Life is made to make dreams come true and to pursue them, we have to make them worthwhile. I live like this”, reveals the artist in a conversation with the F5.
As he himself says, he lives a “magical and blessed” moment in many ways. At the station, on Saturday afternoons, he owns the program with the highest audience ratings among open TV competitors, with good public acceptance, Caldeirão com Mion (Globo).
Married for 17 years to Suzana Gullo and father of three children, one of them Romeo, with autism spectrum, the presenter says that his achievements in entertainment, such as plays and programs, are no greater than his main missions. For him, the dreams to come have a lot to do with the legacy he wants to leave for future generations.
“In all these years I took many ‘no’s, many falls, but I gathered experiences that helped me to move forward and embrace important social causes. I don’t get carried away by recognition, I don’t get dazzled”, he says.
“The most important legacy I want to leave is that of being a good father and fighting for mine and for the rights of people with autism, something I will do until the end of my life. These are missions much greater than any success. professional”, amendment.
Accomplished, Mion says he also feels important for having “a megaphone and using it in the name of family and present and respectful parenting” over the years. Stopping embracing causes that help others is not an option. “Mission is the act of fighting for what I believe in. And purpose is what others need you to do for them. I have both”, he concludes.
