“Damned Marriage”: Lorca’s masterpiece with Maria Tzompanaki

After the huge success of the subversive comedy tour for two consecutive years “Medea” by Bostthe theatrical company Mythodia presents a completely different play. The “Damn Marriage” by Federico Garcίαa Lorca directed by Nikoresti Haniotaki in the Rock Theater on June 25.

The central role of the mother is embodied by the excellent Maria Tzompanaki. The music of the show is original and bears the signature of Alkinos Ioannidis with the lyrics of Nikos Gatsos. The music will be played live by the actors. A project – a challenge with a troupe consisting of wonderful actors – musicians.

“The Damned Marriage”, the tragedy of the great Spanish poet Federico Garcίαa Lorca, is a theatrical and literary phenomenon. Today, about a century after its writing, and despite the difficulty of approaching its subject matter from the modern point of view, its fame is growing worldwide with new theater performances in many countries, with new studies about it and a constant interest in theatrical joint. It has taken its place next to the top masterpieces of world theater, such as the ancient Greek tragedies, the works of Shakespeare, Strindberg, Chekhov or Tennessee Williams.
