by

Adele achieved a rare double “first” today, as she was ranked at the top of the best-selling albums and singles in Britain, with the long-awaited “30”, released on November 19 and her song “Easy on Me”.

The Official Charts Company announced that the album “30”, the first pop music diva in six years, garnered 261,000 sales this week and thus became the best-selling album of the week of its release, for 2021.

“30” is, therefore, the fourth album of the award-winning singer that occupies the first place in the British charts. The previous ones, “25”, “21” and “19”, made a dynamic return to the charts this week and climbed to 15th, 18th and 31st place, respectively.

The lyricist, composer and singer, aged 33, also held for the sixth consecutive week the first place in the ranking of singles with the title “Easy On Me”, breaking her personal record that she had achieved with the song “Someone Like You “, which remained at the top of the charts for five weeks.

Of the 12 songs that make up “30”, two more were found this week in the singles chart, “Oh My God” in second place and “I Drink Wine” in fourth.
