A report in the Sunday Times reported that Carlos received huge amounts of cash in bags from the former Prime Minister of Qatar between 2011 and 2015.

The charity donations received by Prince Charles of Britain were paid in the right way, his office said after a newspaper article reported that Charles received three million euros in cash by a former Prime Minister of Qatar, some of which were placed in bags and suitcases.

A report in the Sunday Times reported that Charles had received large sums of cash from Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber al-Thani himself during 2011 and 2015.

“The charitable donations received from Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber were donated directly to one of the charities of the prince, who carried out the proper management and assured us that all the necessary procedures were followed“, states in today’s announcement the office of Karolos.

The Sunday Times reported that there was no hint that the donations were illegal.

Police and the British Charity Commission are investigating the allegations.
