Two narrators, an actor and a musician, each with their own tools, catch the thread of a myth and lead the audience on its unknown paths.
The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) welcomes the summer in Tholos, with the section of events “Mythologies” and six performances for the whole family directed by Sofia Paschos and on stage Apostolis Psychramis and Nikos Galenianos. Six different performances with humor and imagination that take place, thanks to the donation of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (ISN), on July 3 & 10, on August 28 & 29 and on September 4 & 11.
Two narrators, an actor and a musician, each with their own tools, catch the thread of a myth and lead the audience on its unknown paths. With them we will rediscover the Minotaur, the Argonaut expedition, the Heroes of Hercules and other known and lesser known stories.
And as we recall these stories, we will be immersed in different perspectives of each myth: how did the Labyrinth see Theseus’s tangle? How did the right oar travel to Argo? A strange theatrical puzzle that opens new dimensions, possibilities and stories in the myths we already know. Companions on the journey will be objects, songs, all possible sounds that a piano can produce and electronic sounds that will circle the stage. Six paradoxical narratives that show that, depending on where you look at a story, it takes on a new form that you did not even imagine.
