Rapper Drake, 35, sold his mansion, known as the “Yolo Estate,” in Hidden Hills, Calif., for $12 million, according to the Los Angeles Times. Prior to the mansion, he sold two properties to Los Angels Ram player Matthew Stafford.
The rapper managed to close the deal on June 24 after three months and ended up selling the property below the original price, which was US$ 14.8 million (about R$ 77 million). The Tudor-style home was purchased by the artist a decade ago for $7.7 million.
The “Yolo Estate” mansion is by far the most impressive of the three homes sold by the rapper and was created to surpass Hugh Hefner’s Playboy mansion. To that end, Drake turned the property into a party complex complete with mechanical bull, sand volleyball court, and custom pool with water slide and secret grotto complete with TVs and a bar.
The house has a lot to offer as well. The venue is decorated with custom chandeliers, stone fireplaces and amenities such as a bar, wine cellar, tasting room, recording studio and movie theater.
In total, there are seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms, including a master suite hidden behind a bookcase. The property’s grounds have a tennis court, entertainment patio, deck and equestrian facilities.
