El Masri stars in Netflix’s “The One” series, a 2021 science fiction drama based on the John Mars novel of the same name.
The British – Egyptian actor, Amir el Masri joins the cast of the series The Crown.
The actor will play Egyptian billionaire Mohamed Al-Fayed, the former owner of the Harrods department store and the father of Princess Diana’s partner, Dodi Al-Fayed, in the fifth season of his successful series. Netflix.
Actor Sally Dow will play Al-Fayed in his final years.
El Masri confirmed his participation in the series by posting on Instagram.
“I feel honored and more than grateful for the team of” The Crown “that included me in the 5th season of the series,” he wrote.

His performance in the 2020 film “Limbo”, in which he plays a Syrian musician on a remote island in Scotland waiting to learn the outcome of his asylum application, earned him the Best Actor award at the Bafta Scotland in November.
