Actor Cauã Reymond, 42, got scared a few weeks ago while taking a walk with his daughter, Sofia, 10, his wife, Mariana Goldfarb, 32, and two more dogs through the streets of Joá, in Rio, where he lives. That’s because some pitbull dogs attacked him, and the case ended up in the police.
The dogs live in a house that belongs to rapper Orochi. According to Cauã himself, after filing a complaint, the musician contacted him and everything was settled. “Cauã is a great admirer of Orochi’s work”, says an official note from his press office. Because of this, the investigation proposed by the Civil Police to investigate the case should not go ahead. The Civil Police had not yet responded to requests.
But this seems not to have been the first time that pitbulls, without a leash and muzzle, would have run away from the house and attacked other animals and even neighbors. According to the newspaper O Globo, there are reports of other cases in which even an elderly woman was bitten, as well as two other men who went to defend their dogs from attacks and ended up injured.
Wanted, the rapper Orochi, through his advice, informs that the dogs are not his, but a friend who lives in the same place. “The alleged facts are contradictory and will be duly investigated in the judiciary. In all the alleged episodes of the dogs’ escape, I did not have any action or omission that allowed them to escape”, he says.
Regarding the other accusations, he states: “There is an unexplained intention to attribute to me, perhaps the only young black owner of a property in Joá, the label of ‘criminal'”, he concludes.
