Ezra Miller, 29, who plays the Flash hero in the DC films, was accused of harassing a German woman named Nadia and asphyxiating an Icelandic woman, according to victims’ reports to American magazine Variety. The cases took place in April this year in Germany and in the spring of 2020 in Iceland – during the Covid-19 pandemic. The actor did not comment on the incidents until the publication of the article.
Nadia met the actor at an art opening in Los Angeles (USA) in 2020, but didn’t recognize right away that he was the artist. They exchanged phone numbers and messages. On Miller’s last night in town, they had a consensual sexual encounter with the actor, but never saw each other again.
In February 2022, Miller accepted an invitation to go to his wife’s apartment in Berlin, Germany. During the visit, he changed his mood drastically when she said she couldn’t smoke in her house. “I asked them to go out like 20 times, maybe more. He started insulting me,” he said.
After about half an hour of pleading, she said she finally convinced Miller to leave as soon as she called the police. The incident left her deeply distraught and fearful of being physically attacked. “I felt totally insecure,” she told Variety.
Just over a month after the meeting, she learned of the actor’s arrests in Hawaii, one of them for disorderly conduct and harassment of customers at a karaoke bar in Hawaii in March of this year. Nadia said that at this point she realized that she was not alone in her experience with the actor. “It seems to be a pattern,” she said.
In April of this year, Nadia filed a criminal complaint of harassment against the actor in Germany, but the process was stopped because Miller is not in the country. In the same period, the actor was arrested again in Hawaii for second-degree assault. He threw a chair at a woman, who had a cut on her forehead.
Before that, the actor was accused of trying to asphyxiate a woman in Iceland after she made a joke in 2020. A video recorded by the victim’s friends, which Variety obtained, shows the actor asphyxiating the victim and throwing her to the ground. “Suddenly, [eles estão] on top of me, choking me, still screaming in my face if I want to fight,” the woman said.
When the victim’s friend realized the actor wasn’t joking, he stopped filming and pushed him to long. “Two friends of mine actually held Miller as he yelled ‘This is what you wanted! This is what you wanted!'” the woman said, adding that she spat “several times” in her friend’s face – an affront that was dangerous in the first pre-vaccine days of the pandemic.
