Singer Harry Styles, 28, was forced to cancel a concert in Copenhagen, Denmark, on Sunday night after several people were shot dead in a shopping mall, according to The Sun. One person was arrested, but there is still no information on the number of injured and dead.
The singer was due to perform at the Danish capital’s Royal Arena tonight – just hours after a gunman opened fire at Shopping Center Field at hundreds of people meters away.
The promoters of the Harry’s Love On Tour show initially said the event would be held after security talks with police. But it wasn’t until fans packed the venue that the show was finally cancelled.
Addressing audience members in their seats, a production person announced from the stage, “Police have decided to cancel for security reasons. Please know that everyone is safe inside the building, but unfortunately we have to cancel the show.”
He asked everyone to leave the place calmly. “When you leave, you will be escorted by police and security to the subway, which will take you to the last station where you can be picked up.”
Fans of the singer were photographed crying as they left the arena. They have not yet been informed if the show will be rescheduled.
