Ricky Martin: His ex-manager is asking for three million dollars

by

According to claims filed in the lawsuit filed by Rebecca Drucker, she was not paid money owed to her under an agreement they had signed.

Ricky Martin’s former manager is suing the singer for three million dollars.

According to what is supported in the documents of the lawsuit filed by Rebecca DruckerRicky Martin’s manager from 2014-2018 and again from May 2020 to April 2022, was not paid money owed to her under an agreement they had signed.

In the complaint filed last week in Los Angeles Superior Court, Drucker seeks three million dollars which, as he states, were accumulated because he did not receive the agreed sums of money.

Drucker claims she “saved Ricky Martin’s career” and “protected” the “Livin’ la Vida Loca” singer from “the consequences of reckless indiscretions.”

“Rebecca Drucker did this not only because she was his manager, but also because she believed that Martin was her dear friend,” the lawsuit states.

Drucker claimed she was in a “toxic work environment” and cited “a particularly nasty incident in Dubai with Martin and his representative Jose Vega” in 2018 that prompted her to resign.

After months of Martin asking for her return, she notes that she decided to give her professional relationship with the singer “another chance” by returning as his manager in May 2020.

“Although Martin’s career has flourished since he rehired Rebecca Drucker as his manager in May 2020, she has been forced to deal with a number of the singer’s personal issues, including problems with the nanny he hired to look after his children, Martin’s non-payment of taxes and substance abuse, among other issues,” the lawsuit alleges.
