Lamar Odom Says He Would Have Helped Khloe Kardashian Raise Her Family

by

NBA star Lamar Odom, 42, told Page Six he would have gladly helped ex-wife Khloé Kardashian, 38, from whom he split in 2016, to raise their family if she had asked. The socialite is expecting her second child through a surrogate with her ex-husband, NBA player Tristan Thompson, 31, from whom she split late last year after discovering a betrayal.

“She could have talked to me about it,” joked Odom as he approached La Belle Vie Med Spa in Woodland Hills, Calif., on Tuesday. Despite the joke, he admitted that his behavior was far from perfect during his marriage to Kardashian.

Struggles with substance abuse and infidelity were just some of the issues that led Odom and Kardashian to sign their divorce in 2016. But Thompson further humiliated the socialite by having a child while they were still married.

The confirmation of Thompson’s betrayal of Kardashian came when the model Maralee Nichols filed a paternity suit against the athlete in December 2021.

After the end of the relationship, the NBA star admitted in January this year on social media that he was the father of his third child with another woman. In the message posted on Instagram, he apologized to Khloe. “Today, paternity test results reveal that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols,” Thompson wrote.

Multiple sources told Page Six that the NBA star and Khloe were planning their second child through surrogacy when he learned of his infidelity and ended their marriage late last year.
