Actress Anne Heche, 53, was high on cocaine and fentanyl when she was in a serious car accident in Los Angeles on August 5. Los Angeles Police Department sources told TMZ that the actress’ blood test results came back positive for both substances.
Officers warned that fentanyl may have been given to Heche in the hospital to help manage pain after the accident. Therefore, they will do more tests to determine if she used the substance before the accident. She was not under the influence of alcohol despite a photo taken before the accident showing a bottle with a red cap in the car’s cup holder.
According to a statement, Heche is in an extremely critical condition, with burns all over his body, lung injuries and in a coma on breathing apparatus. The artist was driving at high speed when she lost control and crashed into a house, causing a fire in the place.
A close friend of Heche’s told the Daily Mail that the actress is in dire health and has not improved since being admitted to hospital. The woman asked people to pray for the actress because only God can save her now. Before her friend, Heche’s family had also asked for prayers and positive thoughts.
