Mariduena, a Sports Illustrated model who has nearly four million followers on Instagram alone, hopes to raise awareness about “body normalcy.”
The hot model first made waves in the magazine’s pages in 2021 and appears in this year’s issue which is on newsstands now.
“In the (modeling) industry, you see models who are too skinny or you see plus-size models, but there’s no such thing as modeling that’s right in the middle,” the girl told Fox News Digital.
“I’m trying to represent that on behalf of other people. I want to be an example, and show that it is nice and beautiful. [Στα social media] I show my body, I show my life, I show what I stand for and what I value without a filter. Whether it’s a picture in a bikini or just a picture of me on the street in a cute outfit, I want to show that normal body size is appreciated.”
The 25-year-old insisted she wants to use her social media platform to show her female followers that there’s no need to rely on in filters and Photoshop to look beautiful.
“I have so many followers who are young women, very striking and look up to me as an example for themselves,” she said.
“I try to connect with people, whether it’s through DMs or through the comments. I’m often told, ‘I have your body type — thank you for showing that.’ These people show their appreciation to me and I want to return that love. Because I have this platform, I think it’s more important than ever to bring positivity to women.”
