The American actor explained why his role in the “Fast and Furious” franchise is different from others he has played.
THE Jason Momoa enters… “with gas” in a phase in his career as he joins the most popular franchise Fast and Furious by Universal. The actor spoke to Entertainment Tonight at the premiere for the third and final season of the Apple TV+ series See. During the interview, he gave a first look at the role of the “villain” he will play opposite Vin Diesel’s Dom Toretto in director Louis Leterrier’s Fast X.
“I’ve never played a character who is, what’s the word… mean and unpredictable and androgynous,” Momoa explained. “He’s very sadistic and fun… It’s very weird,” he said.
Momoa went on to say that he had a great time filming Fast X and also felt welcomed into the franchise. “It’s been a long time since I’ve played a villain,” he said.
“It’s a little bit of a brothers’ trip,” he said of the specific Warner Bros. films. “Just a lot of laughs and also a lot of pain, so there’s great action.” The third season of See begins streaming August 26 on Apple TV+.
The new Fast X movie, expected to be the last, is slated for the darkrooms on May 19, 2023.
