Madonna’s daughter Lourdes “Lola” Leon makes her debut in the music industry with the single “Lock&Key”. The song was released on Wednesday, August 24, under her stage name Lolahol.
“I’m so proud of you Lola!” Madonna wrote on her Instagram story as her daughter follows in her footsteps.
Leon also released a music video, directed by Eartheater producer and co-writer, which features her dancing in multiple locations, a trip to Harry Houdini’s grave at Machpelah Cemetery in Queens, and swimming at the beach wearing clotheslines .
Leon’s entry into the music industry comes months after she opened up about her career aspirations in an October chat with Interview magazine.
“I don’t have a specific goal. I probably should,” said the model and dancer. “I have a very specific sense of style and I’m interested in aesthetics, so I like to incorporate all those parts of myself into my projects.”
She added, “As for music, I can sing. I just don’t care that much. Maybe that’s why it’s too ‘close to home’.
