To Max Siedentopf appealed Alessandro Michele, his creative director Gucci, for the campaign of this year’s Décor collection of the house. Based in London, Siedentopf is a multidisciplinary conceptual artist – video, photography, sculpture, among many others – and founder of the art publication ORDINARY. With a clear reference to the triptych “The Garden of Earthly Delights” by Hieronymus Bosch, he photographed a “Garden of Delights” for the Italian house.
In the campaign, aptly named ‘A Garden of Delights’, the house looks to the geometries of classic French garden design and intervenes its familiar plant hedges and horticulture with playful leaf sculptures depicting objects from the collection; sculptures of leaves in the shape of a teapot and armchair, created by Andy Hillman Studio ( https://www.instagram.com/p/CgrrUS5MzQL/?hl=en ).
The collection includes porcelain tea sets with floral motifs, double-sided cushions, metal candlesticks, jacquard upholstered armchairs and more. Alessandro Michele conceived the idea; photographer and visual artist Max Siedentopf brought it to life
