Charles III asked Prince Harry not to take Meghan to Balmoral

by

Despite King Charles III citing Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in his first speech, he said in a phone call from the Queen’s bedside for his son not to take his daughter-in-law with him to Balmoral, according to The Sun.

A source told the paper that the king told the prince that it was not appropriate for Meghan to be at Balmoral at such a sad time. The king claimed that Kate Middleton would not go and that the meeting should be limited to the closest family. He made it very clear to his son that Meghan would not be welcome.

Harry was also refused a seat on the RAF (Royal Air Force) plane that took his brother Prince William and uncles Princes Edward and Andrew to Scotland. As a result, he had to find his own plane and the delay meant that he arrived at Balmoral 90 minutes after the Queen’s death was announced.

Upon arriving at the airport, he was comforted by an airline employee in a high-visibility jacket and they shared a tender moment before boarding the plane. He sat with a security guard and remained silent throughout the flight.

A passenger told The Sun that the prince barely moved throughout the hour-long flight and was reflecting on his grandmother. He said it was sad to see Harry alone without the other royals to comfort him.

This Friday (9), Charles was photographed shaking the hand of the same airport employee who comforted Prince Harry. The king spoke with her and other staff members for a few minutes before boarding.
