Salos for Justin Bieber’s concert in Saudi Arabia

Justin Bieber took to the stage to perform at the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Saudi Arabia on Sunday, despite calls for him and other artists to cancel their appearances at the event.

The country has been criticized for human rights abuses, with many criticizing F1’s decision to hold races in Saudi Arabia.

Ahead of the scheduled concert, the fiancée of the murdered Washington Post journalist wrote an open letter about the Canadian pop star’s appearance: “Please, Justin Bieber, do not give a concert about the regime that killed my fiancé.”

“More than three years ago, my fiancé, Post journalist and columnist Jamal Kasogi, entered the Saudi consulate in Istanbul believing that he was going to get some documents needed for our upcoming wedding. “On the contrary, he was assassinated inside the consulate by officials acting on the orders of the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman,” said Hatice Cengiz.

“His brutal murder made headlines around the world. Since then, many human rights organizations and individuals have called for justice and accountability. That is why I am writing to you with an appeal: Cancel your concert on December 5 in Saudi Arabia. “This is a unique opportunity to send a strong message to the world that your name and talent will not be used to restore the reputation of a regime that kills its critics.”

Justin Bieber gave a concert at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, as did artists A $ AP Rocky, Jason Derulo, David Guetta and Tiesto.
