What was Queen Elizabeth II’s last request?

Before she died on the 8th of September, Elizabeth II made a wish. The Queen’s last wish was for the feuds involving Prince Harry and the rest of the royal family to come to an end. Who revealed the monarch’s will was the historian and expert of the Windsors, Robert Hardman in an interview with People magazine.

According to Robert, Elizabeth wanted Harry to reconcile with his father, King Charles III, and his brother, Prince William. She also wanted the relationship between the relatives to be healthier with Meghan Markle, the wife of Diana and Charles’ youngest. The historian revealed that the Queen was the main channel between Windsor and California. “She knew the conflicts and wanted to see her family happy,” the publication said.

It is worth remembering that Harry went alone to Balmoral, Scotland, to say goodbye to his grandmother. According to The Sun, he was told by his father, Charles, that Meghan Markle was not supposed to accompany him on the occasion. The king claimed that Kate Middleton would not go and that the meeting should be limited to the closest family. He made it very clear to his son that the actress would not be welcome in the palace.

Harry and William have been fighting for years. The relationship took a turn for the worse after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex interviewed presenter Oprah Winfrey in March 2021, saying the royals were concerned about the couple’s son’s skin tone. Harry claimed that his father, King Charles III and William were “stuck” in the royal family.
