Understandably, Kim Kardashian left her fans stunned as she revealed that she dined in Italy and got confused by some of the menu items.
Kim, 41, was joined by some of her closest friends as they traveled to Italy for Milan Fashion Week in the latest episode of ‘The Kardashians’. She enjoyed a meal out during the trip, but was left wondering what is a fairly common type of pasta.
“I definitely want the artichoke,” she told the waiter when he took her order before asking, “What’s the tortellini?”
“Like ravioli,” he replied, shaping the pasta with his hands. Kim then asked if they had anything that wasn’t spaghetti and later decided to order penne.
Shortly after the episode aired, Twitter literally caught fire, with viewers commenting – not positively – on her pasta knowledge.
Tellingly, one user wrote: “Really, Kim asked what is tortellini in Italy?” Elsewhere in the episode, Kim found time to shop for a gift to give to her then-boyfriend, Pete Davidson, who she praised as having “the best heart”.
“I feel like people have this idea of him, that he’s dating all these hot girls and that’s how it is. But he’s just the sweetest, most thoughtful person,” she said of the 28-year-old Saturday Night Live star.
