by

A woman from Wales broke the Guinness World Record for her collection of 5,284 Harry Potter memorabilia.

Tracy Nicole Lewis of Mid Glamorgan told Guinness World Records that she began collecting souvenirs from the J.J. K. Rowling and film transport, in 2002, and that her collection now includes special edition books, toys, key chains, illustrations, lego sets and more.

Nicole Lewis, whose wedding was about Harry Potter, said her collection fills three rooms in her home.

Her favorite items are bags.

The previous record was held by Victoria McLain, also from Wales, who has a collection of 3,686 Harry Potter items.

The franchise itself holds a number of impressive records, in addition to being one of the most important literary and cinematic series of the century.

For example, the movie Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005) is the best-selling DVD. On the day of its release in 2006, more than six copies per second were sold.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2), the last film with the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, holds the record for the largest screenplay with the highest receipts.

In addition, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is the highest-grossing Broadway play. The two-part work has sold 1,324,815 tickets to 783 performances.
