Paris Hilton, 41, was sexually abused as a teenager. The socialite revealed the drama she went through when she was 16 years old and went to boarding school Provo Canyon School in Utah, United States. “It was really scary, and it’s something I’ve really blocked out for many years. But it’s coming back all the time now, and I think about it. And now, looking back on it as an adult, that was definitely sexual abuse,” she began.
Through her official Twitter profile, Paris detailed the episodes: “Sleep deprived and heavily medicated, I didn’t understand what was happening. I was forced to lie down on a padded table, spread my legs and undergo cervical exams. I cried as they held me and said, “No!” They just said, “Shut up. Stay quiet. Stop fighting or you will go to Obs.”
“It’s important to open up about these painful moments so I can heal and help end this abuse. This has been a recurring experience not just for me but for other #survivors. I was raped and I’m crying as I type this because no one, especially a child, should be sexually abused. My childhood was stolen from me and it kills me, this is still happening to other innocent children,” Paris wrote.
In August 2021, the school Provo Canyon School was prosecuted for alleged ‘torture’ and ‘sexual abuse’ by another student. Aaron Ross was 13 years old when he was sent to boarding school in Utah in 2001, where he claims a member of staff there forced him to perform sexual acts several times under threat of starvation and punishment. In March 2021, the Utah Legislature passed the Paris Hilton-backed ‘SB127’ bill to enact heavier regulations on the state’s ‘problem teen’ centers.
