Farofa da Gkay: Meet the influencer who created a three-day party

Throughout this week, social networks were taken by comments and publications about GKay’s Farofa party. The event lasted three days and was organized by actress and comedian Gessica Kayane, who at 29 years old has more than 17 million followers on her social networks.

The digital influencer is from Solânea, a city in the interior of Paraíba. She currently has over a million subscribers to her YouTube channel, where she creates humorous content. The artist started dedicating herself to the internet in 2013.

In 2017, she launched her first stand-up tour, which went through the states of the Northeast and debuted in Aracajú, Sergipe. With the success of the shows, the artist received invitations from famous people, such as Whindersson Nunes, one of her greatest inspirations, to participate in her projects.

Invited by Whindersson, she participated in the comedic “Os Roni” (2019, Multishow), in the role of Jennyfer and played alongside friends and ‘brothers’ Whindersson Nunes, Carlinhos Maia and Tirullipa. In the year 2020, she recorded her first film for Netflix, entitled “Carnival”. The feature film came to streaming in June this year.

The comedian is also shooting a mystery series, also for Netflix. “My character is going to surprise as it’s totally different from my other roles. I’ve been recording 12 hours a day,” she said in a recent interview with F5.

In addition, Gkay has also explored his artistic vein in his music career, with the track “Combate de Bumbum” in partnership with Israell Muniz. The bregafunk clip already has over 1 million views.

The artist also revealed that, in May of this year, she developed the burnout syndrome, due to the large amount of work. “Actually, I got into a sequence of heavy work and ended up suffering. I’ve always been in therapy, but now I’ve intensified it. I spent a month away from social media, but thank God I’m better,” she said at the time.

For the future, she has desires that follow her artwork. “I want to do a soap opera. I’m curious to play a funny villain. But I haven’t received any invitations yet”, aims at the comedian.

Gkay’s Farofa started last Sunday (5) and ended on Wednesday (8). The event celebrated 29 years of the influencer and was held at the Marina Park Hotel, in Fortaleza, Ceará. The first edition of the celebration took place in 2017.

The three-day event will feature attractions such as Alok, Wesley Safadão, Xand Avião, Léo Santana, É o Tchan, Pedro Sampaio, Simaria, Kevinho, Matheus Fernandes, Felipe Amorim, Rogerinho and Zé Felipe. “It became a festival,” joked Gkay on his networks after announcing the shows.

In addition to the big names in the presentations, the party guests also formed a team of celebrities. Famous people such as Bianca Andrade, Gil do Vigor, Kéfera Buchmann, Thaynara OG, Flay, Thaís Braz, Viih Tube, Deolane Bezerra, Nicole Bahls, Matheus Mazzafera and Valesca Popozuda were present.
