Jenny Hytönen: The Finnish fashion designer won the prize of the Festival of Hier

In the Finnish fashion designer, based in Paris, Jenny Hytonenwas awarded the top prize at the International Festival of Fashion, Photography and Accessories of Hyères – Festival d’Hyères – in France.

The designer, who graduated from Aalto University’s School of Arts, Design and Architecture in 2021, won the festival’s Jury Grand Prix with her unisex knitwear collection ‘Untitled’ which is based on a contrast of sensitivity and roughness and is a combination of embroidered crystals, sheer net fabrics and studded leather.

The crowning creation of the collection was ‘Cyborg’, a bridal veil incorporating 25,000 glass beads stitched together and an LED bodysuit with a heart sensor that displays the heartbeat with pulsating lights.

Jenny Hytönen also took home the Festival Audience Award.

The Festival was held for the 37th year in Villa Noailles in the South of France and gave emerging young creatives the opportunity to present their work to established designers.
