Susana Naspolini’s daughter, 49, used social media this Saturday (22) to alert friends and family about scammers using the name of the Globo journalist to ask for money on messaging apps. Susana, who is battling cancer, has been hospitalized in a serious condition for a week in a hospital in the capital of São Paulo.
“Hi guys, my mom hasn’t changed her number! Someone is impersonating her, but she hasn’t changed her number! All of us in the family still have the same number [número de telefone]”, wrote Julia Naspolini, 16, on her mother’s Instagram stories.
In another post, Julia again asked people to pray for her mother, who strongly believes in the power of prayer. “Pray the prayer Maria Passa na Frente, please, asking for her healing! Please!”, wrote the journalist’s daughter.
On Friday (21), Julia posted a video on Instagram talking about Susana’s hospitalization in São Paulo and her state of health. “I just talked to her doctor. He said that her condition is very, very serious, very serious. She had metastasized to the hip bone, it had spread to the bone marrow since July, so she comes with stronger chemotherapy, that was what made her lose her hair,” said the young woman.
Julia continued giving details of the disease: “The cancer has spread to several other organs, the liver is very compromised, they say they don’t know what else to do, if there’s anything else to do. Her condition is very serious and I don’t I know what to do. The only thing I can think of to do is ask you for prayers,” said the young woman.
