Jewish institution repudiates Regina Duarte’s post with allusion to Nazi practice: ‘Abjeta’

by

More than controversial, the post alluding to the Nazi practice published by Regina Duarte on her Instagram account on Sunday (13) caused revolt and indignation. The negative repercussion was such that the actress, who has been spreading content with anti-democratic messages on her networks, deleted the post.

The shared image read: “Attention PT, put this sticker on the door of your business. Show that you are proud of who you elected”, next to an image of the Workers’ Party logo.

For the Instituto Brasil-Israel (IBI), requests for “marking” establishments by PT voters are worrying, even more so when they come from celebrities with power to influence a large number of people. “The proposal of a narrative where the elements to be boycotted participate of a monolithic group and that they are part of a unique, degenerate, subversive project and that, therefore, must be collectively punished, is dangerous”, affirms the group.

Lawyer and adviser to the IBI, Ricardo Brajterman considers Regina’s attitude “abject and repugnant”. “This lady abandoned poetry and art to join Nazi practices of segregation, prejudice, persecution and annihilation of human beings,” he tells F5.

Brajterman goes further: “If she were in Germany in the 1930s, do you have any doubts on which side she would be? Any emulation of Nazism harms us Jews, because it brings Nazism and its practices to a position of normalization that we have the obligation to fight.”
