The story follows Carl Nagle, Vermont’s #1 public television painter, who is convinced he has it all: the signature perm, the talent, and fans hanging on his every move… until a younger, better artist steals everything Carl loves.
The first photo released shows Owen Wilson appearing on his TV show with a paintbrush in hand bearing several similarities to Bob Ross.

“We are thrilled to finally be working with the boundless and versatile talent of Owen Wilson as he effortlessly portrays the character of Carl from a brilliant script and direction by Britt McAdams.
“Paint” has all the makings of a quotable comedy masterpiece, and we hope audiences of all ages are ready for lots of laughs and lots of emotion,” said IFC Films President Arianna Bocco.
