Ben ‘Affleck (Ben Affleck) with Matt Damon (Matt Damon) and Gerry Cardinale (Gerry Cardinale) launched their own production company called “Artists Equity”. According to Deadline, Cardinale’s investment firm RedBird Capital will provide strategic capital and operational expertise to accelerate the company’s growth.
“Artists Equity was born out of Matt’s and my passion for acting and our shared desire to help creators realize their vision, as we’ve been fortunate enough to do in our careers,” said Affleck, who will be the managing director of the company. “The entertainment industry is defined by great collaborations—writers, directors, producers, crew, actors—and throughout my career I’ve learned that collaboration is what leads to success. Our goal is to create a creator-centric studio that can optimize the production process with shared participation in the commercial success of projects.
