Journalist Cynthia Benini published a text this Wednesday (15) in solidarity with actress Tereza Seiblitz on her Instagram. Both are suing actor André Gonçalves for not paying child support for their daughters.
Manuela, 22, daughter of André and Tereza, took over the lawsuit filed by her mother at the 4th Family Court in Rio de Janeiro. Cynthia is responsible for the action for her daughter Valentina, 18, in Santa Catarina. The actor was sentenced to imprisonment on the two counts, and is serving house arrest for the second.
According to the newspaper O Globo, the journalist published in her Stories that she and Tereza “suffered patrimonial violence, with psychological consequences, in the two cases of abandonment of their daughters by their father André Gonçalves”. The post was deleted hours later.
The actor, now married to Danielle Winits, claims he was unable to pay the full amount of Valentina’s pension because he was fired from Rede Globo in 2016. With house arrest decreed in November, he will be monitored by electronic ankle bracelets. His debt to his daughter, the result of a relationship with Cynthia Benini, is R$352,000.
Tereza Seiblitz, on the other hand, claims that Gonçalves has not paid the amount owed to her daughter Manuela for ten years, and that the young woman even gave up on the charge. In an Instagram comment, the actress also claims that Manuela was verbally abused by her father.
