Striker Raphinha defended Neymar on Friday afternoon (25). The Barcelona player used social networks to vent against the haters of his Brazilian teammate and reinforced that he did not understand the reason for so much hate, when it should be the opposite. He also mentioned in the publication the affection received by Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo by their respective compatriots.

“Argentina fans treat Messi like a god. Portugal fans treat Cristiano Ronaldo like a king. Brazilian fans cheer for Neymar to break his leg. How sad it is, the biggest mistake of Neymar’s career is being born Brazilian. This country does not deserve his talent and his football,” he wrote.

Due to a ligament injury in his right ankle, suffered in the 2-0 victory over Serbia, in the opening of the World Cup, Neymar is out of the next two games of the group stage against Switzerland, on Monday, and Cameroon, Friday.

Neymar also published a message for the fans on his social networks. “The pride and love I feel wearing the shirt is inexplicable. If God gave me the opportunity to choose a country to be born in, it would be Brazil. Nothing in my life has been given or easy, I’ve always had to run after mine dreams and my goals. Never wishing someone harm, but helping those in need”.

The player lamented the injury in Brazil’s victory in the opening of the World Cup. “Today has become one of the most difficult moments of my career… and again in a world cup I have an injury yes, it’s annoying, it will hurt but I’m sure I’ll have the chance to come back because I’ll do my best to help my country , my companions and myself. Long waiting for the enemy to take me down like this? Never! I am a child of the God of the impossible and mine is endless.”, he concluded.
