Brazil’s rout over Korea yields memes from netizens: ‘I’ve always believed’

The thrashing of the Brazilian national team over South Korea, in the World Cup in Qatar, this Monday afternoon (5), yielded memes on social networks and internet users saying that they always believed in victory and in the players. Before that, the players and coaching staff had been criticized for the defeat to Cameroon, last Friday (2).

Internet user Karla Evelly shared a video of the player Lucas Paquetá dancing after scoring the goal and praised the athlete’s performance. “I love you Paquetá, I said that the only thing missing was your goal, I always believed it.”

“I never said that Brazil would lose, I was hacked, I always believed in victory,” tweeted Internet user Carol Traces, adding a meme of a person hiding their face with the Brazilian flag. “I always believed in you Neymar”, wrote the internet user, who identifies herself as Thay daughter of Bey, in the caption of the meme of a woman with the colors of the flag painted on her face.

Internet user Letícia shared a meme with actress Susana Vieira holding the Brazilian flag to celebrate Vini’s goal in the game. “Vini Jr, I always believed in you. Always,” she wrote in the caption. “Today nothing can shake me. Thank you, Brazil. I always believed in you!”, tweeted Anatalia Costta.
