Kanye West, 44, plans to turn all their homes into churches. “We are under capitalist rule and it’s killing us. It’s time to change that,” said the rapper. “It should be like a community of artists. Food should always be available,” continued the artist.
The news was told during a long interview with the contemporary culture magazine 032c. “I’m going to be homeless in a year. I’m going to turn every house I own into churches. We’re building this orphanage and it’s going to be a place where everyone can go,” said West.
The artist also spoke about a theatrical performance he plans to premiere soon, called “The Funeral Rehearsal of Kanye West”. “It’s the death of the ego that separates us — it’s the birth of humanity,” explained the rapper. “Let me start by killing myself. The less you are, the more room for God,” he pointed out.
West even admitted that eventually it might be a little tacky. “I have a little bit of vulgarity, that little golden drop that makes it popular. But I can’t let anyone love me too much, because I’m going to fall into that love trap. And so I owe everyone to be the person they fell in love with. And I will never be that person. I have to always have the freedom to be hated, so I can always be me,” he summed up.
The rapper has made a series of public appeals for businesswoman and socialite Kim Kardashian, 40, to remarry him. But she is dating comedian Pete Davidson, 28, and has focused on just having a good relationship with West after filing for divorce in February.
On December 9, the singer dedicated the song “Runaway” to Kardashian at the Free Larry Hoover benefit concert at the Los Angeles Coliseum. He added the ex-wife’s name, “Kimberly”, after singing the passage: “I need you to run back to me, baby.”
This was the latest in a series of statements he made about wanting to reconcile with the businesswoman, but a source told People that Kardashian “knows where West’s head is” but “ignores it”.
The now ex-couple started dating in 2012 and got married in 2014. Four children were born from the union: North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 2.
