Despina Yiannopoulou she is an actress who has been tested both in theater and television, as well as in cinema. He knows how to single out the good works, and focuses every time on the texts and the collaborators. She carefully studies her professional steps and faithfully follows her instinct. On the occasion of her role as George’s gifts in his drama series “Storgi”he spoke to us about the first time he came into contact with acting, the most powerful scenes of the series, but also about the value of truth in human relationships.

  • What has been the most challenging role you have played so far?

“The most demanding role is the next one. I want to say that each time the requirements and particularities are different. Dora was definitely the most demanding role I have done on television, after all, my tenure in this medium is very short. But you can’t always compare things. Each role is a new adventure that, at the moment it happens, is for me the most challenging thing I’ve done, whether it’s in Epidaurus or in a short film.”

  • Can you remember the first time you got on the board and played in front of people? What emotions did you feel?

“The first time was when I was in elementary school. I had an enlightened English teacher with whom we did a show. I remember shaking. With the first reaction of the audience, laughing at something, let’s say, funny that I did, I felt a communication that I had never felt before. A contact, which I later perceived as a metaphysical resistance to loneliness.”

  • Cinema, Theater or TV? Which of the three do you prefer and why?

“I prefer fine writing, inspired collaborators, and holy conspiracy groups, in whatever medium I find them.”

  • Would you make an extreme change in your appearance, solely for the needs of a role?

“Yes, I don’t think I would have a problem. It depends, of course, on who would ask me. If I trust him completely.”

  • If you weren’t an actor, what other profession would you see yourself in?

“Hard to say, definitely anthropocentric. Maybe I could be a psychologist (I might have been influenced by StOrgi). Sometimes again, I imagine myself as a writer. However, even though I graduated from law school, I could never see myself as a lawyer.”
