First vocalist of the band Calcinha Preta is murdered in Sergipe

Singer José Aparecido da Silva, the first vocalist of the band Calcinha Preta, better known by his artistic name Sidney Chuchu, was found dead this Thursday (4). The case was registered as a homicide, in the Parque dos Farois complex, in Nossa Senhora do Socorro.

The singer lived in a rented house for approximately two years, according to a note sent by the Public Security Department of Sergipe to F5. The cause of death was a blow with a bladed weapon, that is, an object that can be used aggressively, both for defense and attack, but which is normally used for other activities, such as work.

“A witness arrived at the location and observed the victim lying on the ground. The Military Police was called and attended to the occurrence. The Criminalistics and the Forensic Medicine Institute (IML) were called and carried out the forensic examinations and the collection of the body”, says the note.

At the end of the statement, the Department of Homicide and Protection of Persons (DHPP) of the State Civil Police asks that information and complaints be sent to the Disque-Denúncia (181). On the band’s official Instagram, the group Calcinha Preta released a note of regret.

“Today the entire Calcinha Preta family is in mourning! It is with great sadness and regret that we receive the news of the death of José Aparecido da Silva, our dear Sidney Chuchu”, begins the text, “our first vocalist and was in front of the Band Black Panties from 1995 to 1998”.

The note recalls one of the greatest successes of the singer’s career, the song “Onde o Sonho Mora” and leaves words of comfort for the musician’s family, friends and fans. “Rest in peace Sidney Chuchu, unfortunately, you left us prematurely, and will be missed, but you will be forever in the history of Banda Calcinha Preta and in our hearts”, ends the publication.
