“If it wasn’t for Galifianakis and Bartha, I wouldn’t have stayed sane,” said the famous actor
Actor Ed Helms spoke on the weekly radio show “Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend” about his career and the comedy’s unexpected success “Hangover”. “It was a whirlwind with many Beauforts,” he said characteristically of the film that was in the top-10 at the box office in 2009, with a Golden Globe and several nominations.
While he felt “very lucky” to have more opportunities afterward, Helms admitted he was “so stressed” that he lost control of himself. “I wobbled a lot. I was getting scripts for different kinds of projects. “What to do;” I was starting to freak out and panic, like ‘what kind of career do I want?'”
He starred alongside Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and Justin Bartha as a dentist who is part of a group of guys who decide to go to Las Vegas to throw a bachelor party in honor of Doug Billings.
“If it wasn’t for those guys, I don’t think I would have stayed sane,” the actor said, referring to Bradley Cooper and Zach Galifianakis.
The film, with a budget of just $35 million, was shot in 15 days in Las Vegas and grossed $467 million worldwide, according to EW. The next two films were released in 2011 and 2013.
