Rishi Sunak and his family’s 18-month-old dog has stolen the spotlight at 10 Downing Street.
Nova has been named Britain’s ‘top dog’ by his predecessor, Dillin, a Jack Russell adopted by Boris and his wife Carrie. She is said to have adapted quickly as she lived next door to Number 11 Downing Street when Sunack was a minister.
According to tatler, Nova enjoys snacking on grilled chicken while he likes to sleep in the famous “red boxes.”
The rare-coated Labrador retriever was adopted by the family in June 2021 when Sunak’s children met Boris Johnson’s dog and fell in love with it, the Mirror reports.
A Downing Street source told the Sun that “Rishi was fighting it but finally gave in. The girls reportedly chose the name, race and color.’
