Country singer Maurílio, 28, who plays with Luiza, remains in serious condition and is intubated under mechanical ventilation. According to a statement, the artist is sedated and on continuous hemodialysis, already presenting diuresis.
The note, shared by the press office this Wednesday (22), states that the singer, diagnosed with pulmonary thromboembolism, is being monitored with hematology, neurology and nephrology. The musician is hospitalized at the Instituto Ortopédico de Goiânia (IOG), after being transferred on Monday (20).
This Tuesday (21), the singer’s mother, Odaisa Delmonte, shared a record beside her son on her Instagram profile and cheered for his recovery. “I miss your smile and your hug. Wake up, son, we’re waiting for you”, he wrote in the caption.
In Stories, Odaisa also asked internet users to donate blood, of any blood type, at the Goiano Institute of Oncology and Hematology, in Goiânia. “We will donate,” wrote the artist’s mother.
The countryman was admitted to the ICU of Hospital Jardim América, in Goiás, last Wednesday (15th) after having been sick while recording a DVD and suffering three cardiac arrests. However, it was transferred last Monday.
“In the last 24 hours, it was possible to turn off the medications to maintain pressure, meaning greater clinical stability. Maurílio remains intubated, breathing spontaneously, only with the support of a mechanical ventilator. He is still on hemodialysis, with good renal function response during the period” , says the statement. The text also states that the transfer was carried out securely.
Luana Ramos, Maurílio’s wife, said that he had a positive reaction to her visit on Sunday morning (19). The singer cried and spasmed after a conversation she had with him at his ear.
“I said that today was a day of victory, right? I went to visit today [domingo, 19] and I started talking to him, just like we do every day. And, he started to cry. He cried, his heartbeat increased,” he said.
“And he started to have muscle spasms, he started to cough, I even got a little scared. The ICU staff said that this was very good, that it was a sign that he was listening to me,” explained Luana. In a medical report on Sunday (19), the hospital informed that the singer had been showing improvement in his clinical condition.
