Directed by Joshua Seftel, the documentary tells the true story of US Marine Richard McKinney, who suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder, and decides to bomb the mosque in his hometown of Muncie, Indiana. Arriving there Afghan refugees and an African American welcome him and his plan takes an unexpected turn. He embraces Islam and becomes the leader of the mosque.

“In this age of discrimination and hatred, this story gives me hope,” said Sheftel, who read the story in a local newspaper and dreamed of making it into a movie. “The heroes of the film inspired me to believe that love really can conquer hate.”
