“I like to photograph cats in action and funny portraits with unique facial expressions,” emphasizes Jacobi, speaking to My Modern Met.
On his website, Nils Jacobi states: “I call myself a Catographer (cat photographer and cat content creator).”
In his artistic portfolio, which currently numbers more than 10,000 photos – and growing – Jacobi offers a multifaceted view of beloved felines.
“I like to photograph cats in action and funny portraits with unique facial expressions,” emphasizes Jacobi, speaking to My Modern Met.
He has turned his love of felines into professional work for magazines and advertisements in the pet industry.
For all his love of cats and the number of “followers” he has on social media, Jacobi started his career as a photographer in 2011 by photographing people.
However, he saw that the cat snaps he captured with his lens were gaining more traction online and decided to focus his efforts there.
Much to the delight of both the creator and those who enjoy his inspirations, it’s clear that as a photographic subject, Jacobi prefers cats to people, and we all enjoy his seemingly endless artistic portfolio.
