A phrase with vulgar terms posted by Senator Romário Faria (PL-RJ) as a reply to a follower caused astonishment on a social network this Monday (16). The former striker of the Brazilian national team called a “piranha” a woman who identifies herself as Renata Romão.
The insult was preceded by a “vtc”, an abbreviation of “vai take no c…”, in the language of the networks, in response to a comment made by her on Instagram.
It all started with a complimentary text by Romário in honor of professionals with whom he worked throughout his sporting life. “I’ve had many technicians in my career, professionals who helped me improve my talent, other bad ones who only got in the way. But two in particular marked me forever and I consider them the best I’ve had: in Brazil, Joel Santana, and internationally , Johan Cruyff”.
Renata was one of the first to comment: “You fated!”, in what apparently may have been a typo for “safado”. The politician soon retorted: “vtc you bitch”. The parliamentarian’s aggressiveness surprised his followers: “Can you do that, Arnaldo?” asked one of them. Renata then made the reply: “Your comment is worthy of a beautiful senator. Let’s see how far the masks will stay on the faces. Too bad that adjective doesn’t go well with my family”, she wrote, who has her profile closed in networks.
F5 got in touch with both. Romário ruled out the possibility that his profile had been invaded by a hacker and confirmed, through his advisory, that he was the one who cursed the follower.
“The senator admits that he replied to the internet user after being offended by her. He believes in an environment of debate and respect, but he does not accept being insulted: whoever wants respect, respects others”, he says, in an official note sent to the site.
The report also contacted Renata Romão. She, however, did not respond to the four messages sent by direct on Instagram, despite having seen them all.
