BBB 23: Lady Gaga fan, Bruno dreams of being a nurse and wants to give his family a good life

by

About two weeks before the start of BBB 23 (Globo), Josefa Souza Nogueira da Silva, 65, mother of pharmacy attendant Bruno Nogueira, 32, was already crying and shaking with emotion. She was one of the only people in the Alagoan town of São José da Laje (about 100 km from Maceió) to know that the youngest would participate in the highest rated reality show in the country. It was then that, on the last 16th, she decided to gather a good group in front of her house to watch his premiere on a big screen.

“Here in the city, people only talk about this boy because he is very dear. His big dream is to give us a better life”, reveals the teacher, proud of what she accompanied in the first days of her son’s confinement. The low salary that Bruno received as a pharmacy attendant was not enough to give more comfort to his parents, who received help from the other two older children. Despite his desire to become a millionaire and considering him very communicative, Dona Josefa guarantees that Bruno does not think about fame.

Bruno comes from a poor background and, during his childhood, he studied at a public school. According to Josefa, he used to dismantle all the toys he got because he was curious and also liked to understand how everything works from the inside. “He was too messy,” recalls his mother.

After completing high school, he started a biology course at a federal college, but ended up not identifying with the content and stopped. According to his mother, the dream after the BBB is to go back to school — this time in nursing or medicine at a private college.

“My son likes the health area, because at the center where he works, he usually helps many elderly people and other people who need care and medication. It is what he loves”, he highlights.

Since 2017, the attendant has been Lady Gaga’s number 1 fan, but he has never been able to go to one of her concerts due to lack of money. Bruno is gay, but his sexual orientation was never discussed at home. According to his family, the discovery process was natural and “everyone already knew” without him having to talk about it. Because of this, he never suffered from prejudice (“at least not that I know of”, reinforces his mother).

As soon as he entered the “most watched house in the country”, part of the BBB 23 public began to label him as a kind of “new Gil do Vigor” on social networks, both for his manner and for his northeastern accent. However, Dona Josefa dismisses any kind of resemblance. “I don’t think he looks like Gil at all, when they said that I went to see it again and it really has nothing to do with it”, she reinforces.

She also says that she is not afraid that the youngest heir will be canceled for any reason during the reality show. “I’m not afraid of anything with regard to cancellation. I just thank God for him being there. If he ends up eliminated, it will be because God wanted it that way”, she concludes.
