After deleting all publications in which he defended former President Jair Bolsonaro and encouraged extremist acts, singer Netinho decided to speak out on the networks. He claimed to be a victim of fake news and said he will seek his rights in court:
“In relation to the fake news spread, stating that I would have encouraged acts of vandalism and terrorism, I deny and reaffirm that I have always spoken out in favor of family, peace and love, which have always been part of my repertoire of a successful career “, Netinho began in a publication.
The performer of “Milla”, “Precido de Você” and “Beijo na Boca”, among other axé music hits, also lamented the cancellation of a show scheduled for next January 28 at the Iate Clube de Aracaju, Sergipe. “I received the public notice of the cancellation of my participation through a social network, but without any formal documentation of the closure or extension of the show sent to me, even with a valid contract”. In place of Netinho, the club announced on Instagram the show of singer Tatau, former lead singer of the band Araketu.
He continued: “Those who spread fake news accusing me of ‘encouraging and financing terrorism’, something I’ve never done in 56 years of life, will have to prove it in court. It’s not fake news that will erase all my positive history from decades with the people of Aracaju and Sergipe. I have never mixed politics with my music, nor will I now. They lie about that.”
In an interview with a radio program in Aracaju, Netinho revealed that he had received 60% of the fee and had already spent a good part of the money. “In addition to the damage they caused me, I was harmed with my name, with my brand. I will not let a person say that I finance terrorism. If that person believes, he has to prove it. This is a crime”, summarizes the singer.
Netinho hopes that the Yacht Club will take responsibility for the procedures related to the cancellation of the presentation and returned to defend himself. “Four years ago, through an ideology of mine, I had been supporting the Brazilian people as a person. if it can be said that the club took me out because it is afraid of me making a political speech in a carnival block. I never did. My history was not made with the Rouanet Law”, he concluded.
