Piqué would have asked Shakira for a second chance and cried with the singer’s refusal

The end of the marriage between Shakira and Gerard Piqué still attracts a lot of attention in the Spanish press and another chapter was revealed this Saturday (21). Famous for having revealed all the confusion involving the two and also the identity of the current girlfriend of the former Barcelona defender, Clara Chía, reporter Jordi Martin announced that there was an attempt at reconciliation.

According to Martin, Piqué would have asked the singer for a second chance, a month after the discovery of the betrayal. Shakira said no and he cried lamenting the situation at the former couple’s last meeting. In addition to the two, the respective lawyers participated in the meeting, marked by the singer’s coldness and the player’s regret, who even considered breaking up with Clara Chía [pivô da separação]but she claimed that she was no longer able to maintain the marriage.

The reporter also added that a source close to the former couple revealed that there were no discussions or exchanges of accusations at that meeting and that the two ended the conversations with a strong hug. “Despite a difficult negotiation because Piqué didn’t really want his children Milan, 9, and Sasha, 7, to move with their mother to Miami, United States, in early 2023, everything was very civil.”

Shakira and Piqué broke up in April 2022 and two months later, they officially announced their separation after 11 years together. Recently, the singer released a song with several hints at her ex. In the lyrics, she goes so far as to say “I’m worth two of 22, you traded a Ferrari for a Twingo”, as a provocation to the Spaniard’s new relationship with the young Clara Chia, 23 years old. In another part of the song, Shakira mentions two watch brands and sings: “you changed a Rolex watch for a Casio”.
